A STUDY ON UTILIZATION OF DECAYED INDUSTRIAL FACILITIES IN THE ART AND CULTURAL FACILITIES

In the process of converting the industrial artifacts in the site of the Oriental Chemical Industry of Incheon into a large apartment complex, the study introduces design strategy to preserve the history of original site rather than to remove inconsiderately. The objective of the project is to regenerate both the first Korean radio station and the head office building of the Industry, to obtain institutions for art, which is remarkably insufficient in the region, and at the same time, to suggest a new program by which residents is communicated with surrounding context.
