cGMP of cyclic nucleotides may mediate taste transduction(Hypothesis suggested by Tonosaki and Funakoshi, 1998). In this connection, we hypothesize that alteration of the cGMP concentration in rat tongue tissues may be closely related with taste ability , which is age-sensitive factor.
