Dynamic Characteristics of Liquid Crystal Displays Driven by Complex Electric Field

초록

The dynamic characteristics of conventional and improved HAN-FFS have been reported in the previous work [1]. To understand the dynamic characteristics of HAN-FFS, director distribution, transmittance, and parasitic capacitances as a function of time are introduced. But, the contrast ratio with angle of the HAN-FFS is so poor, that chevron HAN-FFS was proposed in this paper. We found that viewing angle of the chevron HAN-FFS had about 2.5 times than that of improved HAN-FFS.
