초록
In this pater, we present the comparison of numerical methods, the finite element method(FEM) and the finite difference metho (FDM), for the analysis of liquid crystal cell. In this work, In plane swithing (IPS) mode is chosen asn a test vehicle. The elecrical and optical chracteristics of the cell structure are simulated by type of the mumerical solver which is using each munerical scheme. Especially, wi report our work in the view of CPU time and the result of simulaation. Further,ore, wi report the adaptability of other applications having non-rectangular structure, such as chevron-type patterned verical alignment(PVA) mode.
