초록

The inlet separators on the FPSO are designed for oil casing-head gas purification from mechanical impurities and drop liquid while compressor station processing. Generally the vane of inlet separator is eroded by the particle in the mixed fluid flow. Particle erosion is the phenomenon which is caused by hi-speed impact of solid particle included in the fluid flow. Sand particles entrained in the fluid impinge the walls of vane causing in removal of wall material, reducing the service life. This paper discusses the CFD model of the particle erosion expected in the vane of inlet separator. The CFX code was employed for simulation of two-phase flow in vane subjected to erosion due to solid particles carried by fluid. The interaction between carrier fluid and sand particles is modeled considering one-way coupling and the turbulence effect of the continuous medium on particles The main objective was to investigate the erosive rate upon the vane surface. The interactional force between carrier and particles is taken into account by momentum transfer in an Eulerian-Lagrangian approach. The influence of some phenomena parameters (particle dimension, carrier fluid velocity) was investigated.
