H-2 evolution from photocatalytic decomposition by liquid phase plasma was examined over Ag-loaded photocatalysts. The effect of methanol addition into water was estimated in the photocatalytic water splitting. Photocatalytic activity of perovskite was also assessed in the photocatalytic water splitting. H-2 was evolved in the photocatalytic splitting of water by reacting of active species. The photocatalytic activity for H-2 generation of TiO2 prepared by sol-gel method was higher than that of commercial TiO(2)photocatalyst. The rate of H-2 evolution was progressed with Ag loading on TiO(2)photocatalysts. The addition of methanol into water brought to a significant enhancement of H-2 evolution. The methanol acted as an electron donor to increase the amount of H-2 production. Copyright (C) 2018 The Authors. Published by Elsevier Ltd.
