Cytological findings of micropapillary variant of urothelial carcinoma: Comparison with typical high grade urothelial carcinoma

Background: Micropapillary urothelial carcinoma (MPC) is rare with distinct pathologic features and aggressive clinical behavior. However, the cytologic findings of MPC are still largely unknown and rare case reports have been present. In this study, we evaluated the characteristic cytological findings of MPC compared with typical high grade urothelial carcinoma (HGUC).
