Crosslinked,Nanostructured Polymeric Resins Templated by Water-Induced Reverse MicellarSolutions of Amphiphilic Block Copolymers
초록
Nanostructured polymeric resins were prepared based on the water-induced reverse micelles of an amphiphilic triblock copolymer in a mixture of styrene(St)/divinylbenzene(DVB). Triblock copolymer (EO76PO29EO76, numbers in subscripts denote the molar ratios of ethylene oxide (EO) and propylene oxide (PO) in a single polymer chain) was dissolved and stirred vigorously in the mixtures of St and DVB (volume fraction of St of 60%) for several hours. The molar ratio (w) between H2O and EO segment of EO76PO29EO76 varied from 0.8 to 3.0 to investigate the change of morphology in the styrene?divinylbenzene mixture and polymeric resins. The results revealed that the hexagonal columnar phase appeared at w=1.5. Since the specific interaction between monomers and templating block copolymers was almost absent and, therefore, the morphology of the crosslinked polymeric resins was the same as that of block copolymer micelles in solution.
