초록
This paper is concerned with the development of the expert system which deals with structural analysis and design process of plane trusses. Generally, the element of a truss can be idealized as column or bar elements. The system,first, selects the section shape and determines section scantlings to prevent from buckling of each element. Then, the system checks allowable deflection and allowable stress.When the deflection and stress are not satisfied, the system automatically redesigns the sections. Therefore, the expert system consists of pre-processor and solver. The pre-processor prepares the truss data according to designer's requirements and the solver design and examines the strength of trusses. The main discussions included in this paper are as follows. - Composition of the design expert system for plane trusses - Structral analysis using expert system - Evaluation of the results of the various models
