초록
In our recent research efforts, we have been investigating dendron systems that can self-assemble not only in organic media but also in aqueous phase. Their surface self-assembly chracteristics at the solid-liquid interface were investigated as well. special emphasis has been placed on the elucidation of the structural driving forces for the amide dendrons to self-assemble in a variety of environments so that functional supramolecular nanomaterials could be provided by this unique methodology. In addition, we report the reversible transformation of the supramolecular vesicles and nanotubes derived from self assembly of amide dendrons. A brief discussion on the potential application of dendrimers as a complimentary building block with spherical polymeric micelles will also be presented
