Numerical Simulation of the Two-dimensional Sediment Flow

초록

In this study sea water including sediment frictional flow caused by sea wave is numerically simulated using finite difference method in fixed staggered variable mesh system. Two-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations and continuity equation are used for the computation. Also SGS turbulance model is applied for the flow at high Renolds number. Irregular leg lengths and stars are employed near the body boundary and boundary surface between the two fluid. Marker-density method is adopted to determine the interface between the two fluid. The boundary surface of the two fluid is determined every time step with the satisfaction of kinematic and dynamic boundary conditions. To verify the computation results they are compared with existing experimental results. And the interruption of sea water including 20% sand by sea wave is numerically simulated and qualitationally compared with experimental phenomenon.
