Analysis of the Flow around a Three Dimensional WIG by Using Numerical Computations

초록

In the present paper, flow fields around a three dimensional WIG(Wing-In-Ground) are analysed numerically. Governing equations are Navier-Stokes and continuity equations and they are solved by FDM(Finite Difference Method). A overlapped grid system(the composite of O-H type body boundary-fitted grid system near the body and H-H type grid system for other flow fields) is used for this calculation. Both grids are regular ones and the linear interpolation of physical quantities are carried out to exchange physical quantities from one grid system to the other one continuously. Computations are carried out for three dimensional wings with NACA0012 and NACA6409 section which have been widely used for practical purposes. By above calculations, flow around a three-dimensional foil section moving over a flat plate is simulated. Also the accuracy od developed code is validated. Results are compared to the other experimental and computational ones carried out in other single grid system.
