초록
We have developed for the first time a non-unitary transfer matrix method that we have found highly effective in analyzing and designing racetrack resonator devices. As compared to the conventional unitary transfer matrix method including the characteristics of dependent drop power and the length-dependent phase variations. Using the scaling law about separation of the waveguide on the directional coupler we have calculated the coupling strength in the region of curved section of the resonator. And we have found that optimal structure of resonator through the comparison of race-track structure with dual curved structure. The results show excellent agreement with the results from the finite difference time domain (FDTD)-based simulation study.
