A Further Story of the XCH2CN(X=I, Br) Photodissociation Dynamics

Photodissociation dynamics of ICH2CN and BrCH2CN molecules are studied using the time-of-flight mass spectrometer method. The I/I*(Br/Br*) branching ratios, anisotropy parameters, ans kinetic energy distributions are measured as a function of the pump wavelength. The shape of the upper state potential surface along the reaction coordiate is discussed from the experimental results.
