초록
The fatigue caused at hot spot regions is one of the important consideration fator in ship design. Ships are subjected to various amplitude loads in service life which generate hot spot areas especially in non-continuous geometric components. Due to complexity in the fatigue analysis, there are generally three well known theories being applied in the study that are stress-life approach, strain life approach and linear elastic fracture mechanics. Having various conditions like structure geometries, material properties, nonlinear external loads to be taken into the analysis, the ship classification body of each contries has developed its own method for the fatigue strengh analysis. in the present paper, a longitudinal web frame of ship under multiaxial loads is selected to investigate the fatigue life. Also a model for this type of analysis is intriduced.
