Diketopyrrolopyrrole-Based Copolymer Field-Effect Transistors: Side Chain Engineering

초록

We control the location of branched alkyl chains, when they use as solubility and ordering enhancers of the conjugated donor-acceptor (D-A) copolymer backbones, and the functionality of alkyl spacers, which bridge the branched chains to the diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP) segment, to achieve different ordering and π-π overlapping of the DPP-based copolymers. These copolymer films are spun-cast onto polymer dielectrics, and some are further thermally annealed. Electrical performance of DPP-based organic field-effect transistors and its strain-dependent variations are characterized. The results are systematically correlated with the resulting morphologies, ordering, and π-π overlapping of the DPP-based copolymers in deformed films.
