Nonclassical Measure of Cavity Field Interacting with Thermal Reservoir

We obtain the time variation of the P-function of the cavity field interacting with a thermal reservoir and relate it to the reduction of the nonclassical measure of the cavity field. It is shown that the behavoir if reduction depends on the coupling constant between the cavity field and the reservoir as well as the number of photons in the reservoir. We analyse the reduction of the nonclassical measure in terms of two mechanisms, which we refer to 'spontaneous' reduction and 'stimulated' reduction, respectively. The discussion on the reduction from the view point of quantum trajectory theory is also provided
