Using urine HPV Oligonucleotide Microarray (HPVDNAChip) as a auxiliary tool to detect cervical neoplasia

Objective: To know whetherHPV Oligonucleotide Microarray (HPVDNAChip) can detect the HPV DNA in the urine and, if it can, to make it clear whether it is useful to detectcervical neoplasia. Methods: The ahthors had done urine HPVDNAChip tests, cervical smears, cervix HPVDNAChip and biopsies to those who were admitted to our clinic during 1st of April to 30th of Sep in 2003 for undergoing gynecologic operations. Those who had cervical neoplasia were sorted into case group, and those who had not into control group. Results: 57 people were enrolled as case group and 44 as case group. There seemed to be no statistically significant difference over age(46.3+ 12.5 vs 44.7 + 8.0 yr) and parity (2.3 + 1.4 vs 1.9 + 1.1) betwen two groups. However,
