초록

N-demethylation of N,N-dimethyllaniline by cytochrome P450 could be initiated by teversible one eletron avstraction from nitrogen atom. The nitrogen radical cation loses a proton from carbon atom. The stepwiseprocess of ET followed by PT is stoichiometrically equivalent to hydrogen atom transfer. Hydroxyl group can be transferred from PFe-OH to the resusltion carbon radical to yield a-hydroxyamine that may decompose to N-Methylaniline and formaldehyde. Various benzylsubstitedbenzylamines were ozidized by CYP450, tetraphenylporphyrin-iron(III) chloride (FeTTPCl), and lead tetra-acetate(LTA) to give corresponding benzaldehydes and benzylamines, respectively.
