Small Angle Neutron Scattering Study on the Formation Mechanisms of Mesoporous Structures During Sol-Gel Processing

초록

The formation mechanism of the mesoporous structure in the silica sol-gel solution with a structure-directing amphiphilic triblock copolymer was investigated by the SANS measurement recorded at various reaction stages. The SANS data showed that a long-range liquid crystal-like mesoscopic ordering of the organic phase was collapsed shortly after being mixed with the prehydrolyzed inorganic silica solution, but it was gradually recovered during evaporation of the mixed solvents to facilitate the condensation of silanol group in the inorganic framework phases.
