Predictin of posoperative volume and brain re-expansion of chronic subdural hematoma

초록

The purpose of this study was investigate the factors association with postoperative drainage volume and the brain reexpansion after operation of chronic subdural hematoma. During the last 2 years, 58cases in 45 patients who were diagnosed CSDH and had an operation. We measured multiple factors assicuated with CSDH, which were including the hemorrhage density and the parameters on CT as followed (A, distance between both inner table at the level of frontal horn of lateral ventricle; B, the distanc between most medial side of caudate nucleus head at the same level of the parameter A; C, the distance of midline shifting at the levl of third ventricle; D, the laget thickness of CSDH). We estimatedthe degree of frontal horn compression and midline shifting by the CSDH, and the relationship to the amount of total drainage. Result ; The mean age was 63.8 years and mean drainage count was about 248ml. Mean drainage date was 5.91 days and daily drainge volumes were 109.5, 22.2, 14.4, 15.8ml respectively. The result fators association with the postoperative drainage volume and brain re-expansion after operation of CSDH shows thatthere was no significant correlation except the density of CSDH on brain CT, B/A and C/D ratio. Conclusion ; The density type of CSDH and parameter which were presenting the degree of frontal horn compressin and midline shifting by the CSDH may helpful to predict the postoperative drainage volume and the brain re-expansion after operation of CSDH
