Effect of a Shape of Nanoparticles on Light Scattering in Organic Semiconductors

We investigate how the scattering efficiency is affected by a shape of nanoparticles in an organic semiconductor. We found that a silver (Ag) nanoprism presents an improved red-shifted scattering efficiency while a Ag nanosphere exhibits a relatively low but broadband scattering efficiency. Moreover, we explore the Mie scattering theory to see the contribution of the multipole resonances and how much the forward scattering occurs by studying the asymmetry parameter depending on the permittivity of the nanoparticles.
