초록
By using a Fiber-Optical Confocal Scanning Microscope, we measured an internal structure of an optical waveguide in a flexible optical printed circuit board (FOCB) whose waveguide has very low index difference between its core and its cladding. In order to increase the light signal reflected from the core-cladding interface, an oil-immersion lens was used for the confocal microscope. The internal structure of the waveguide could be well estimated from the optically-sectioned image.
