Theoretical studies on the correlations between hydrophobicity and antagonistic effects of cimetidine analogues

Cimetidine plays an important role as a antagonist of the histamine H2 reetor, hence inhibits secretion of gastric acid. It was found that the partition coefficients obtained experimentally were well correlated with the calculated solvetion energies.
