초록

In this paper local scour increment by the successive bridge construction is examined through the experiments in the channel flume. In the experiments the distance between piers of 5L to 25L in the longitudinal direction and the distorted ranges of 0D to 8D in the cross sectional direction are utilized. Where, L and D indicate the length and width of the bridge pier. Through the experimental studies, it was indicated that the scour depth and width are affected by interaction between adjacent piers. Experimental results show that in the flow of low Froude number the maximum scour depth is obtained when the piers are installed in the straight line in the flow direction. By experimental results, it can be inferred that the maximum local scour depth at bridge piers predicted using the existing equation should be increased in the case of interaction between bridge by successive bridge construction.
