Multimedia Stream transmission Scheme for Parallel Server in Wireless Environment

This paper presents the multimedia stream transmission scheme using parallel server. First, each server separately stores video data based on the type of video frames. Second, the base station schedules packet by the priority. Finally, the mobile host effectively manages the buffer in server side by transmission rate control mechanism that the mobile host sends control message to servers via the base station. We measure the receive rate in single and parallel server model and then compare them numerically. When multimedia streams are transmitted based on parallel server, the performance of receiving multimedia stream is improved by 57% compared to that of single server.
