장대 도수터널 건설 공사 시 Gripper TBM의 개선 사례 연구

초록

Recently, mechanized tunnel construction using Gripper TBM became popular. Especially, the Gripper TBM has various advantages: the reduction of claims induced by blasting, the utilization of limited working area, and the advance rate. Gripper TBM is completely different from Shield TBM because thrust force should be obtained from the gripping. For this reason, it is crucial to examine the failure of ground due to clamping for the design and construction of Gripper TBM. In this paper, clamping pad is improved to increase the performance and its stability is evaluated during the construction of the 11.23km long waterway tunnel.
