EMP 측정 시스템용 센서의 설계

In this paper, we designed sensor to measure electric field strength when semiconductors are destroyed by impact of electromagnetic pulse(EMP) and ultra-wideband(UWB) pulse. The conical antenna was chosen as a sensor. The conical antenna is commonly used probes or sensor. The characteristics required for the sensor are the frequency range of UWB and high gain within that bandwidth. To satisfy the characteristics, the dependence of the conical antenna performance on geometric parameters(conical antenna's radius) is investigated using a commercial electromagnetic simulation software, from which an optimum design of the antenna is derived. In the result of simulation, the proposed antenna in this paper shows a reflection coefficient less than -10dB over the whole operating frequencies range. Therefore, by using this result, the conical antenna would be adapt to measurement electric field strength research. Keywords EMP, HPEM, sensor, conical antenna, UWB
