Emticicia fluvii sp. nov., a species of the family Cytophagaceae isolated from fresh water

초록

A Gram-negative, orange-pigmented bacterial strain designated IMCC34512T, was isolated from fresh water in Korea. The phylogenetic tree based on 1 6S rRNA gene sequences showed that strain IMCC34512T formed a distinct lineage within the genus Emticicia . Strain IMCC34512T was closely related to Emticicia aquatica HMF2925T (97.5 %) and Emticicia paludis HMF3 8 5 0T (9 7.0%). The major fatty acids of strain HMF2 9 2 5T were summed feature 3 (C16:1 ω 6c and/or C16:1 ω 7c ), iso-C15:0, C16:1 ω 5c and C16:0. The major polar lipids of strain IMCC34512T were phosphatidylethanolamine (PE), phosphatidylinositol (PI), diphosphatidylglycerol (DPG), phosphatidylglycerol (PG), unidentified amino lipids (AL) and three unidentified polar lipids (L). The DNA G+C content of strain IMCC34512T was 35.2 mol%. On the basis of the evidence presented in this study, strain IMCC34512T represents a novel species of the genus Emticicia , for which the name Emticicia aquaticum sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is IMCC34512T.
