Software Component Retrieval System using Agents

초록

Component-based software development would allow application software to be constructed from existed software components. This approach will improve the productivity of software development dramatically. However, There are many problems to retrieve appropriate components of software developers' request although a number of software components are able to reuse. In this paper, the model that can specify components being capable of applying to the application software developments on Distributed Object Environment is presented and presented model-based system is designed. In the designed system, an Agent provides the most proper component by analysis of the specification of software developers' request using information stored in Knowledge Base. Developers develop requested applications with provided components and provides their developments information to Agent which can make the best of this information as knowledge information in the requested analysis after.
