초록

The number of modes in the MMI power splitter affects its splitting uniformity as well as self-imaging distance. The width of the MMI power splitter determines the number of modes in MMI, and thus, the characteristics of multiple image profile. We report the specific conditions for uniform power splitting based on the number of modes in the MMI power splitter.
