A Light Database Version Approach for Concurrency Control in Spatial Database

in this paper, we concentrated on using a version approach to run transactions concurrently in spatial database systems. In our design, delayed versioning was used to avoid unnecessary versioning. To reduce data redundancy caused by database versioning, we implemented both physical object and logical object in our spatial database system for versioning. This approach is called light database version approach. Logical objects in light database version refer to physical objects in parent “heavy” database version. So, the parent database version should keep unchanged. To implement this approach, the light database versioning algorithm was given out in our paper, At last we provide a detailed implementation of light database version approach.
