초록

This study was performed to investigate the community structure, and temporal distribution of the megabenthic animals on the Jangbongdo tidal flat, Incheon, Korea. The fauna were collected by modified otter trawl and sampling from November 1999 to January 2001. The macro and megabenthos comprised a total of 90 species, 12,249 ind. and 103,504 gWWt during the study period. This area was numerically dominated and characterized by the shrimps Palaemon carinicauda, Crangon affinis, Metapenaeus joyneri, the crabs Charybdis japonica, the fishes Acanthogobius hasta, Johnius belengerii, Cynoglossus joyneri, Sebastes schlegeri, Repomucenus richardsonii, and the cephalopod Loligo beka. The study area could be divided into two season and two species groups based on the q-mode and r-mode clustering method. In terms of q-mode, there consisted of 1) winter group (December-April) and 2) summer and autumn group (May-November). And in the r-mode analysis, 1) One is visiting during winter season, numerically dominated by the Gobiid fishes, the Palaemonid and Crangonid shrimps, and Octopodid cephalopods, 2) The other one is visiting groups in especially spring, summer and autumn. This group was characterized by the Sciaenid and Cynoglossid fishes, the Portunid crabs, and the Loligonid cephalopods. In conclusion, Jangbongdo tidal flat is used by time partitioning amongst demersal fishes and megabenthic invertbrate animals through for their food resources.
