Active Q Control of Tuning-Fork in NSOM

In this study, we changed intentionally the Q-factor of tuning fork by adjusting the oscillation property of the attached optical fiber on tuning fork, in order to optimize the Q-factor of the shear force control system used in height control of NSOM probe. Since the Q-factor of shear force control system is related closely with some parameters of NSOM such as scanning rate and resolution, etc., the result of our study can be applied to a more elaborated control of NSOM probe
