Development of Algorithms for Correcting and Mapping High-Resolution Sidescan Sonar Imagery
초록
Sidescan sonar technology has become one of the most popular means in acoustic remote sensing to map and visualize the seafloor surface. The objective of this research is to construct mosaicked high-resolution seafloor imagery from sidescan sonar data. This paper describes data correction and compensation procedures especially for overlapped sonar data. Mosaicked imagery of 10cm/pixel resolution has been obtained and utilized for searching and identifying artificial fish shelters on the seafloor.
