Characteristics of the radiation field waveforms produced by stepped leaders just before lightning return strokes

초록

Some statistics of the radiation fields produced by stepped leaders just before lightning return strokes were described. Measurements of lightning return stroke field signals were made during the summer storms in Korea. The mean time interval between peaks of the last leader pulse and return stroke field was about 16.2±8.8㎲ and 14.8±5.2㎲ for the positive and negative polarities, respectively.
