Outcome of living donor liver transplantation for patients with far advanced hepatocellular carcinoma

Introduction: Recurrence of transplant recipients with far advanced HCC including macrovascular invasion or huge HCC or numerous HCC is common and macrovascular invasion is often considered as contraindication of liver transplantation. Notwithstanding far advanced HCC and high risk of recurrence, some patients and their family are eager for living donor liver transplantation (LDLT) and underwent liver transplantation. But we still doesn't know exactly the actual clinical course of them after liver transplantation. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the outcome of patients with far advanced HCC after LDLT and aggressive adjuvant management including resection, TACE, systemic chemotherapy, radiation therapy, change of immunosuppression even though number of patients is small.
