Anti-inflammation effect of Sedeveria Pink Ruby in rodent models

Results: In the Indomethacin-induced rat model the obtained results showed that SPR stock pre-treatment inhibited inflammatory lesion formation in a dose-dependent manner with the highest inhibition in SPR stock 1 group (G5). In the DSS-induced colitis mouse model, DSS resulted in marked shortening of the colon length and body weight loss in G2. Severity of colitis was notably inhibited as the shortening of the colon length was less developed as well as disease activity index (DAI) score in pre-treated groups were lower in a dose-dependent manner G3, G4. Pink ruby as a test article decreased inflammatory parameters in both gastritis and colitis animal models. Histological findings demonstrated a similar pattern as well as in immunohistochemistry samples. Conclusion: In accordance with the results obtained it can be concluded that Pink Ruby can become a possible remedy against inflammatory effect appearing in the GI tract during gastritis and colitis.
