Paired 다중모드 간섭을 이용한 2x2 열광학 스위치의 제작

초록

Optical switches are the most important elements in WDM(Wavelength Division Multiplexing) system. In this paper, we designed and fabricated 2X2 thermo-optic switch using multi-mode interference. The device length could be reduced to three times shorter than those of conventional ones by applying paired interference. Its extinction ratio and excess loss were measured by optical measurement system.
