초록

Multimedia streaming service is susceptible to loss and delay of data as it requires high bandwidth and real time processing. Therefore QoS cannot be guaranteed due to data loss caused by heavy network traffic. We propose an algorithm which serves differently according to priorities of packets in multimedia stream. QoS can be improved/increased significantly by giving higher priority to Multimedia flow and scheduling the flow which has frame with higher priority first according to the type of frame. The proposed scheme was tested using NS-2. We observed significant performance improvement of PSNR(peak signal-to-noise ratio) compared to other schemes.
