STUDIES ON THE SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF NITROFURAZAN DERIVATIVES

BAFF, a 5-membered furoxan and BAFOZ, a 6-membered dioxadiazene were selectively prepared from chloroxime 2, depending on the reaction media even with the same base. In the same oxidation manner, BAFOZ can be oxidized to BNFOZ, but the reaction was more difficult. As shown in thermal properties of DSC and TGA, BNFOZ was more volatile and the melting point was lower than that of BNFF
