Capacity Comparision of Different Transmission Methods on the Reverse Link of DS/CDMA Cellular Systems

There are different methods of transmissions on the reverse link of DS/CDMA cellularsystems: no-pilot transmission, pilot-channel aided transmission, and pilot-symbol aided transmission. This paper compares the capacity and cell coverage of the three different types by using the simple analysis. The pilot-symbol aided sysem has the best capacity and coverage in the three types.
