A study on the improvement of safety education for university laboratory in Korea for foreign researchers

South Korea is settling down the safety culture of Laboratory after enforcing Laboratory Safety Act in 2006. However, foreign researchers have difficulties in the safety education because of differences in safety laws and communication problems. Therefore, practical and specific safety education for foreigners is required. This study proposes improvements on safety education to foster safety awareness among foreign researchers and to improve safety-related knowledge. The improvements include the university-affiliated education, the virtual reality simulation education and regular safety test.
