Failure Assessment of an aero-engine turbine blade includes braided ceramic matrix composite dovetail under thermo-mechanical load

초록

The analysis process is verified through literature with approx. 2.73 percent error. Also, results compared with exiting Ti alloy dovetail to suggest betterment of CMC over Ti alloy under a working environment. It is obtained that braided CMC has a longer life than existing Ti alloy. Also, alternative and damage status presented the condition of damage pattern along with initiation to progression zone of constituent at meso scale.
