A Nash bargaining solution for fast content distribution with QoS provisions

In this paper, a fast content distribution scheme is proposed with QoS provisions and user cooperation in cellular networks. A group of mobile terminals (MTs), which are interested in the same content, can cooperate to reduce the content distribution time (CDT). The Nash bargaining solution was derived to formulate the content distribution problem, where each player of the game can maximize its individual payoff. Simulation results demonstrate that the MTs endowed with cooperative scheme achieve a significant gain in terms of decreasing the CDT compared with those without cooperation. © 2012 IEEE.
