초록
This paper describes the performance of alternative refrigerants containing CF3I for replacing CFC12 in motor vehicle air conditioning. HFC134a is currently used as the refrigerant in new motor vehicle air conditioners, replacing the ozone depleting refrigerant CFC12. Although HFC134a has no ozone depletion potential, it has a relatively large global warming potential, approximately 1300 times that of CO2 over a 100 year time horizon. For this reason, new refrigerant mixtures containing CF3I is proposed as a new long-term and "drop-in" alternative to CFC12 and HFC134a in this study. Test results showed that binary mixtures of HFC134a/DME and CF3I/HFC152a and ternary mixtures of CF3I/HFC134a/RE170 and CF3I/HFC134a/HFC152a yielded much better performance than CFC12.
