Reliability Analysis Applied to the Risk Assessment of LNG Transferring System
초록
As the LNG transfer system is one of the most critical issues from both safety and operational standpoint, risk assessment based on the probabilistic reliability data is an essential process. Hazard Identification (HAZID) and Hazard and operability (HAZOP) can be applied to identify the risks and hazards during the design of the LNG transfer system. This paper describes the probabilistic risk assessment for a LNG transfer system on marine structures to ensure the operation safety. It focuses on the operational safety of transfer system from a LNG FPSO to a LNG carrier exposed to several faults. This paper applies the FTA and FMEA associated with a probabilistic risk database to the operation scenarios. After providing an outline of the safety assessment procedure for the operational problems of system, safety assessment example is presented, providing details on the fault tree of operational accident, safety assessment, and risk measures.
