초록

There are some criteria to evaluate bearing capacity of railroad subbase. However field test methods require loading and unloading tests whereas modified CBR methods are static loading method for the submerged soil. In this research, small-scale loading-unloading tests following DIN 18134 which are commonly used to check the bearing capacity in the field are carried out. Based on the tests, the relevance between DIN 18134 and modified CBR test results are indirectly compared. From the comparison of the results from both tests, it can be seen that both tests are not so relevant. Therefore lab. test with which bearing capacities can be checked in advance are necessary to develop just like the case of road subbase evaluation through lab. tests. Load tests at small chamber with small load plate simulating field test procedures may be a new option to evaluate soils in a laboratory
