A Study on Regional Architecture from the Point of Post Modern View

In the competition of A Center for the Visual Arts at The Ohio State University, Eisenman's scheme certainly marks a juncture and offers a new coin of vantage on the course of architecture. It doubles the postmodern parody to acquire a new paradigm for the architecture of regionalism in the postmodern era. This study attempts to examine and interprete various problems that the site and program of the competition involves, to analyze and compare the schemes submitted by Michael Graves and Peter Eisenman on the basis of the interpretation of the program and site and to reconsider the significance of the competition and Eisenman's thought on the course of contemporary theory of architecture.
