Talc pleurodesis using closed thoracostomy tube in malignant pleural effusions

초록

Talc pleurodesis using closed thoracostomy tube was performed in 12 patients of lung cancer with malignant effusion. Initial success rate was 92%. No pleurodesis related mortality was found. This is a safe and effective procedure for control of malignant pleural effusion.
